for my tv major i get to produce a 12 mintue doco on what ever the bloddy hell i want (within budget restraints tho) so i am going to do a doco about one of my photo models if you will, the kaipara co-op dairy factory. once king and proud life line for my little home town, when it had to shut its doors after the company went belly up it sat for years and years waiting for some one to hurry up and decide wat to do with. in the mean time it became a gang haven, where every window got smashed, every square inch got tagged, become a storage place for stolen goods, not to menchon the countless atempts to burn the place down. but after years and years the council finally made a move brough the building and put it to use. so wat did they do? they didn't demolsh it so that developers could put the space to good use, they didn't decide to try to restore it and use it from a historical point, no they decided to leave it as is and rent it out to film crews. i dunno y i am passionate about this bulidings life i just am and it pisses me off that the local council made the desion that they did, so that is what my doco is going to look at, the serveral possiblities of what could of happened to the building and what really did happen.
